02.06.06 - Pierre's blog: "Barcelona...16 hours in a tour bus. Ughhh...."
What's up peeps?
We just arrived in Barcelona after a painful 16 hour drive from Modena on our double decker tour bus. I spent most of drive watching movies, eating junk snacks, playing guitar, pacing around like a mad man and drinkin' beers that have a name that I can't pronounce. It's now 6:30pm and I'm feeling a little buzzed by the whole trip. The sun is setting yet I have done nothing today. It's always a weird feeling when you drive all day and get to some foreign place where you know no one or nothing about the place you're in...but hey.... we're in Barcelona!!! Things could be a lot worse. The weather is nice and Im pretty sure I can find some cool place to have a quiet dinner.
Tomorrow is our biggest show on this European tour with 5,000 people showing up to rock out, so I'm mentally getting ready for a great show. I'm quite excited and a little anxious since I have virtually nothing to do from now til then, except going online and browsing through useless stuff. I'm sitting here in the lobby of our hotel because unfortunately our rooms dont have internet today, and I'm starting to realize that this tour is coming to an end quite fast. It's crazy how we go from saying: "Man.... this tour is never gonna end!!!" and then suddenly it's: "Dude!! We only have 2 weeks until we're done!!" Weird how the mind works. Soon we'll have to say our goodbyes to Silverstein and go back home to our normal lives off the road and figure out what the hell we're gonna write for our next album. It's exciting but a little scary at the same time. I guess its one more mountain to climb.....
So that's where I'm at right now... time to find some food and maybe a nice little rock bar where we can hang out with some locals and have a few drinks before I hit the sack.
I hope you guys are all doing good out there. Thanks for listening and I'll talk to you later.
Hasta luego.
