02.19.06 - Pierre's blog: "Last day..." Hello my people!!!!! Hey its about 12:30pm and we just arrived at our hotel in Dublin after a long overnight drive from..... uh...... wait a minute....  Glasgow!!!! The show last night was so awesome.  Scotland I love you!!!  The energy coming from the crowd was insane.  I loved the club we played at, it looked like an old theatre with its classic designs and moldings and the acoustics were mind blowing.  Isn't it weird that all the old venues are the ones that sound the greatest?  I mean, did we forget how to build proper concert halls after the 70s? Anyways, today is the last day of the long touring cycle for our last record "Still not getting any..."  I just wanna take a moment to thank everyone that bought the record, that came to our shows, that voted for our songs or videos, that listened when we had something to say, that waited after the shows to meet us and that spread the word about SP.... you know who you are.  This album has become even bigger internationally than "No pads..." and I/we wanna say thanks for making our second album another great success.  We love you and we owe you the world, and a new album of course. Aside from playing a few select shows, our schedule from now 'til the fall consists of writing and recording, so even though we may not be as present on the radio and TV and at your local concert hall, have no fear, we are working hard and we're gonna hit the road again as soon as we can.  Also, I will continue to keep you posted with my blogs on myspace and our vlogs on www.simpleplan.com. By the way, I just posted my first vlog yesterday so check it out (you can tell by the bags under my eyes that it's been a long tour......). Tonight we play in Dublin.  I really enjoy Ireland and I'm happy that this is where the tour ends. We will most likely go out after the show and drink many many pints of Guinness in the birthplace of this wonderful beer and we will celebrate the awesome time we had on these long tours.  There will be hugs and cheers and we will say good bye to each other until..... this coming Thursday!!!  I guess we won't really be apart for very long haha. So that is all my dear friends.  I will keep blogging regularly and will keep you posted on what's going on over the next weeks and months.  Thanks again for a great year and a half.
